Digital Hollywood Content Summit
The inaugural Digital Hollywood Content Summit takes place on Tuesday, May 5 at the Loews Hotel in Santa Monica during the Spring '09 conference of Digital Hollywood. Tim Kring, creator of "Heroes" will participate in a keynote conversation and various film, television and new media organizations are participating. Among them the AFI, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, ASIFA Hollywood, the IDA, the WGA, KCET and others about to come on board. During a series of panels on Tuesday, May 5 we're planning to take content creators in our industry through the creative process: Development, Funding, Production, Distribution (IDA), Animation, Cause Driven social marketing, and the re-invention of the studio model for the new media age. John Landis directs for JibJab

Roughly 10 more days to vote for the winners of the John Landis directed ‘great sketch experiment’ on broadband comedy veterans’ JibJab portal of This Land-fame.

To give unknown talent a shot, JibJab solicited scripts from 50 comedy troupes all over the country, and the director of Blues Brothers and Welcome to America agreed to come on board to helm the best 6 stories with these performers on a shoestring budget.

Until they actually stood next to the master in the studio and the cameras were rolling, many of them didn’t believe they’d actually be working with Landis but were subject to some Internet hoax or Reality TV scheme.

The comedy shorts, all revolving around themes of ‘Police,’ are up on the website. Viewers can vote for their favorites, giving the winning team a chance for a $ 10,000 development deal with the talented folks at JibJab.
